"Pagar Alam" or "Nature Fence"

Recently I went to Pagar Alam in South Sumatra, Indonesia. It's my first time to went there and not planned before. The famous in there is Mount Dempo with the tea garden, coffee farm, and the flowers. You should try the luwak coffee there (nice one).

It took 6 hours to go to Pagar Alam from Palembang by cars. The only transportation to go there is only by car that can be rented for Rp 80.000-Rp 120.000 (8-14 USD), I recommend  to rent a car for yourself because they wait for another customer till exceed the capacity (damn I feel like in a sardine can x_x). Here's some rental car that you can call (I suggest that you drive by yourself cause the local drivers are nuts (feels like ride roller coaster))..

There not many hotel in Pagar Alam, so call for reservation fisrt to chek first if they have room or not. Here's the one of the hotel that you can call "Hotel Dharma Karya" +62 730 621297/+62 82881483797. The price for a night around Rp 125.000-Rp 175.000 (14-20 USD). 

There are many waterfalls in Pagar Alam,one is the waterfall Lematang Beautiful. The location is so easy to reachbecause it is located on the edge of the road on the outskirts of Pagar Alam. Visitors who want to see the waterfall as high as 40 meters, evenwatching from the sidewalk

For visitors who want a closer look and feel the spray of waterfalls, the site can go down the road winding through the stone steps down to around the base of the waterfall (but you have to pay for Rp 2.000/person ( 2 cents USD). 

The place that should noe be missed is the tea garden in Mount Dempo. It's soo berautiful. Before you reach the tea garden, you will passed the coffee farm. From there you can have a nice view of Mount Dempo.

You can go to there by motorcycles that can rented from the villagers for Rp 80.000-Rp 100.000/day (9-12 USD), or go there by the tour guide (usually the villagers) for Rp 100.000-Rp 120.000/day (12-14 USD). Here a villager who I know that with pleasent guide you. His name is Ali (+62 85273673655), he is a nice and friendly man (but he can't speak english).
